Previously I have been happy to let the ladies plant flowers around the gardens because they're pretty (the ladies and the flowers).

I'm reading about companion plants and some of the good ones are flowers and herbs, so I'm resolved to learn more about benefiting my gafden with them in the 2015 season.

I have several books about companion plants but my main reference now is Carrots love Tomatoes: Secrets if Companion Planting for successful gardening by Louise Riotti. I haven't found one of these that is organized so that it is a quick reference between compatible companion plants, but I'm choosing the plants I'm interested in and making notes of what works together.
